Watching for the crack of light that will spread across the horizon.
Longing to see the warmth of those rays of energy beaming to break into the darkness.
But what shall we do while we wait?
How can we comfort our broken spirit?
How do we face the horror without communing with the evil we see there?
This evil that seeks to tear away at our confidence in a loving God.
Help us to listen with our hearts and to trust that you are a God that will never leave us. You are a God who allows us to wonder and ask the question…why? Lead us into this time of devotion so that we might find comfort for our broken and weary souls.
Jesus is Lord
Jesus is Lord ( He is the Master of my life and no one else)
My Redeemer (He has purchased my soul with his blood)
How he loves me (His love for me is holy and true.)
How I love him (It breaks me over and over again)
He is risen (He has conquered the grave)
He is coming (We live by our hope)
Lord come quickly (We live in anticipation)
Alleluia (Knowing this gives us God’s peace)
“There is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under heaven…A time to weep and a time to laugh, A time to mourn and a time to dance…A time to tear and a time to mend…A time to be silent…and a time to speak… Ecclesiastes 3: 1,4,7
Be with the grieving community of Manchester. Heal their broken spirit and unit them in song. Help us to never stop looking towards the horizon. Let us not lose our hope in your ultimate victory over the darkness as we anticipate your dawn that will rise and spread its wings of love across a world shivering in darkness.
Grant that we may feel the warmth of your love today.
Lord, Grant us Peace.
